State lawmakers are about to put the new Utah Constitutional Sovereignty Act to the test

By invoking the Utah Constitutional Sovereignty Act, the state will eschew enforcement of the new Title IX regulations because they conflict with state law that requires K-12 students to use public school restrooms that match their sex designated at birth. Critics of the sovereignty act say it conflicts with the federal Supremacy Clause.
